About Me

Jody Pontone is an Educational Strategist based in Scarsdale, NY. She earned a Bachelors of Science at Syracuse University, and then attended Hunter City College of New York, where she received her Master's Degree in Special Education. 

While working in the field of Special Education for 20 years, Jody became acutely aware of the integral role neurological evolution plays in learning, leading her to attend Teachers College, at Columbia University  where she earned an additional Master's Degree, this time in Neuroscience and Education.  

Jody's deep understanding of how to optimize one's individualized education based on his/her neurological development is the foundation of  her work with children who are struggling academically, socially and emotionally.

In 2017, Jody founded JPonte, her private practice dedicated to guiding children, adults and families through developmental challenges for the maximum outcome. She is specialized in understanding one's neurologic strengths and deficits and implementing specific strategies unique to each individual's needs.
